Abstract

The girls' dormitory at Texmaco Subang College of Technology is a residence for female students studying at Texmaco Subang College of Technology, these students have solid activities including lectures and internships. This density of activity encourages dormitory residents to shop online. But shopping online poses the problem of losing packages, as couriers store them in dropboxes in front of dorms, increasing the risk of theft. To solve this problem, the authors plan to design an IoT-based "smart box" with ESP32-CAM modules and NodeMCU microcontrollers in dormitories. The goal is to make it easier for dormitory residents and package senders when package receipt occurs without residents present. This solution is expected to overcome the problem of packet loss by utilizing infrared sensors to detect incoming packets into the smart box automatically. The signal from the sensor is sent to nodeMCU which notifies the Telegram bot when the packet arrives. The package picking process is reinforced with face verification and RFID card before opening the smart box door, ensuring the safety of the package during testing
