Analisis Postur Kerja Menggunakan Metode (Ovako Work Posture Analysis System) OWAS pada bagian operator packing PT. Piranti

Abstract

An unergonomic work posture can cause various negative impacts on health, such as muscle pain, injury, and other health problems. This can also reduce productivity and work quality. This study aims to analyze the working position of packing operators at PT. Piranti using the Ovako Work Posture Analysis System (OWAS) method which is then processed using the OWAS method. The results of the analysis show that the complaints experienced by operators, the most painful parts include back pain with a total of 11 complaints, pain in the waist and pain in the left lower arm with a total of 10 complaints, pain in the right upper arm, pain in the right hand, pain in the left calf, pain in the left leg and pain in the right leg with a total of 9 complaints. It is known that the NBM questionnaire Respondent 4 has a high individual total score of 70 which means a moderate risk level. Action may be needed later. The OWAS score obtained was 4, with a 3-2-6-2 formation which is included in the category of very dangerous for the musculoskeletal system, indicating that improvements need to be made immediately. Recommendations for improvement include adjusting the work position, using ergonomic aids, and training to increase operator awareness of correct posture. It is hoped that this study can contribute to creating a work environment which is safer and more comfortable for packing operators at PT. Piranti.
