Abstract

The ratio between work demands and operators' abilities affects their condition. The more tasks assigned to them, the greater the risk of mental fatigue, which has an impact on health and the work environment. The high demand for products makes operators at PT Piranti unable to complete work according to the specified schedule. This research was conducted using the NASA-TLX method to measure mental workload. The results showed that 15 housing operators were included in the moderate workload classification with WWL of 50-70, and there was 1 operator in the heavy workload classification, namely operator 1 with WWL of 84. The indicator that most influences the high mental workload is the temporal demand indicator with a percentage of 25%. To reduce the high mental workload on operators, the company can consider the results of this study to make improvements in the form of increasing the number of operators in the jobdesk.
