Abstract

Clean water is essential for the agricultural, industrial, and residential sectors. To address the limited water distribution from the main source, a pump system is used. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of two parallel and series pump configurations using two GP-125Watt electric pumps. Testing was conducted in Serang Kulon Village, Cirebon Regency, using a pressure gauge and direct water flow measurement. The research methods included literature review, test equipment design, experimental data collection, and system performance analysis. The results show that the parallel system produces a higher flow rate of 133.2 liters/second with a pressure of 99,973.5 Pa. Conversely, the series system produces a higher pressure of 165,474.1 Pa, but a lower flow rate of 69 liters/second. In conclusion, the parallel system is suitable for large flow requirements, while the series system is more appropriate for high pressures. These results can be used as a reference for pump configurations according to field requirements.
