Abstract

People with vision impairments, in particular, find it difficult to carry out their regular activities. This restriction makes it more difficult to adjust to shifting conditions and raises the possibility of mishaps. Unexpected object collisions or collisions with other persons are tragic occurrences involving visually challenged individuals. The goal of this project is to build and create a mobility aid cane based on the Arduino Uno R3 that has a rain detection sensor and ultrasonic sensor technology. The purpose of the cane's design is to give the user more precise information about their surroundings, such as the ability to detect impediments on their right, left, and front sides and to receive rain notifications. The goal of this research is to lower the risk of accidents during travel and increase the independence of movement for those with vision impairments. It also comprehends the requirements and preferences of blind individuals when it comes to constructing and using canes for independent mobility. It is anticipated that the findings of this study would significantly enhance the mobility, safety, and self-assurance of visually impaired individuals while also empowering them to participate more fully in everyday activities.
