Health Service Information System in Independent Practice Midwives Using the Rapid Application Development Method

Abstract

The health sector is one sector that has great potential to be integrated with the presence of information technology. One of them is services provided by independent practice midwives who experience difficulties in processing registration data, examinations, drug stocks, patient data and making reports. Object Oriented Programming is a concept in programming that solves program problems by providing objects that are related to each other and arranged into one group. The system development method used is RAD (Rapid Application Development). RAD is an object-oriented approach to system development that includes a development method. In this research, the system design carried out was by changing the way of registering, managing patient data, drug stock and reports by utilizing internet technology, namely using a more flexible website. With this system, it is hoped that it will provide convenience in health services for independent practicing midwives so that the quality of service to the community will be better.
