Abstract

One of the innovations in the manufacturing industry is the use of relay timers, now timers have been widely used as one of the machine control systems in the manufacturing industry. In this case, the timer is used for modification of the feeder control system of the calendering machine. Calendering is one of the packaging production processes that aims to give a glossy and smooth effect to pinted paper material. PT. Paper Packaging’s calendering machine has a problem where every one cycle of machine rotation, paper material will hit the conveyor plate connection so that the calendering product become waste. In this study, the modification of the control system used the Omron H3CR timer as the main control. This improvement aims to control the potential waste of paper material that come out due to being hit to conveyor plate connections on calendering machines.
