Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in manufacturing that produces wiring harnesses. In each production process, defective products or defective products are always found, where the defect ratio in the sub-assy process in January-March 2022 is 0.17%. This is a highlight for improvement for the company. The purpose of this study is to increase the value of sigma, find out the defects that often occur and find out the factors that cause defects. In this study, researchers used a six sigma approach with the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) method is the most commonly used method to measure the application of six sigma in an organization. So the results of this study there was an increase in the sigma value after improvement, from the sigma value of 7.10 to 2.40, the biggest defect that occurs is the cross circuit.
