Abstract

  1. ABC is a company engaged in the production of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene films (BOPP). If the machine is used to work effectively, the company's productivity can increase which can help the company to survive in business competition with other similar companies. One of the performance measurement methods that are widely used by companies, which are able to overcome similar problems above is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). OEE is calculated by obtaining from the availability of the equipment, the efficiency of the performance of the process and the rate of quality. Based on the results of the OEE calculation on the BOPP machine, during the period March 1, 2022 – March 31, 2022, the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of 80% of the entire film type was obtained. This condition shows that the ability of the BOPP machine does not achieve the target in March in achieving the effectiveness of the use of machines/equipment reaches the ideal condition that is 85%.
