Abstract

This study evaluated the effect of using three types of fuel-pertalite, pertamax, and pertamax turbo-on power, torque, and fuel consumption on a Honda Pcx 150 motorcycle. The results showed that pertalite produced a maximum power of 10.97 HP with a torque of 8.53 Nm; pertamax produced 11.78 HP and 9.25 Nm of torque; while pertamax turbo produced 12.33 HP and 9.56 Nm of torque. In the consumption test, pertalite obtained 10.36 km/l, pertamax 10.83 km/l, and pertamax turbo 11.26 km/l. This study recommends the need for further exploration at rpm below 3000 and analysis of exhaust emissions of the three fuels.
