Abstract

One of the challenges in operating a roller chain conveyor is the risk of corrosion and rust on its components. Handling rust on roller chain conveyors is still often done manually, requiring intensive supervision and direct intervention. Therefore, it is necessary to develop automated solutions that can provide anti-rust protection efficiently. Automation increases production throughput and speeds up work flow. For research into the design of an automatic anti-rust sprayer on a roller chain conveyor based on an Arduino Uno, the most suitable method is the system development method. This method makes it possible to design a system in stages, from planning, implementation, to prototype testing. With this approach, researchers can systematically develop an effective anti-rust spray system that suits the specific needs of the roller chain conveyor that will be used. This system is not only able to keep equipment and tools free from corrosion, but also provides good control over the application of anti-rust fluids. By ensuring all components are properly connected and the Arduino Uno software is functioning properly, this system is ready to be implemented in an industrial environment to increase equipment life and minimize long-term maintenance costs.
